Another step in my “explore more interesting whites” move. Not bad overall – my first Marsanne wine. The back label discussed honeysuckle and citrus, and broadly the aromas were that simple, but also that clear. Beyond that, a hint of blanched almonds perhaps, and a lemony hint to the citrus notes. Bone dry and quite fresh. Pale gold colour. Well served chilled. Could have done with more complexity and length – maybe that’s what Roussanne adds to Northern Rhône blends?
