I’d had this for a few years and finally opened it just because. Perhaps not the finest of 30yo Tawnies, but very good indeed. Pale tawny. Medium amber rim with a hint of olive. Mellow aromatics. Scented hints of wild strawberry. Vanilla touch to rancio. Hazelnut and subtle cakebread spice. Elegantly integrated, and not too woody. Full body. Sweet, with intensified, bright acidity. Rich, dried cherry and strawberry. Spiced. Nutty, with old leather and tobacco. Long, with some warming alcohol.
