This may not be the greatest Château in the greatest vintage, but I think a very typical Margaux – elegant and refined, without any component dominating, and somewhat perfumed. Mid-deep ruby. Gentle cedar oak. Somewhat aromatic, bready, restrained cassis. Some gravel mineral complexity. Medium body. Refined. Quite plush cassis, cedar oak, delicacy and poise. Medium body and intensity. Savoury but juicy.
