Since first tasting Taittinger at the end of their cellar tour, I’ve liked the light and elegant style of the NV. However, this bottle might have done with some cellar time, because it had a bit of a green austerity about it that took the edge off the pleasure. Pale green-gold colour, with medium-fine bead (normally finer?). Sharp grassy, lemony aroma. Slightly over-acid lemony palate, with a medium-long fresh citrus and biscuit finish. Not bad, but could do better. [The half-bottle that donated the label was actually much better developed!]
