The way to balance a whopping 244 g/L sugar? 11.5 g/L acidity! Quite a stunning wine in the sense of its balance at such extremes. Deep, burnished gold. Confected, almost raisined or bruised fruit – bruised limes. Some spice notes – maybe a small amount of botrytis on these? Medium-full bodied, with honeyed, treacly preserved marmaladey citrus. Crisp, laser-like acidity holds its unctuousness full in check. The only criticism is fruit-forward simplicity. Very drinkable and very clean though.
