From a blind tasting practice paper I set, this is a pure Cabernet from the Chianti Classico zone. Not sure I’d have placed it there without the rest of the wines in the question to help! Either way, well-crafted, with a scented cassis nose and fine quality, integrated oak. Deep ruby. Fine oak spice and relatively restrained, pure cassis. Soy and cassis on the palate, with full-ish body and a drying finish from the chalky Cabernet and oak tannins. Long.
