A brief white interlude from a POTG dinner with Etienne Hugel. This was a mature, balanced, quality Riesling. From the Schönenbourg Grand Cru. Deep gold colour. Ripe fruit – peach and mango, with a touch of botrytis crystal fruit. Some floral notes, and a decent dose of honey maturity. Ripe and rounded palate, but dry (6 g/L RS), with long, minerality on the finish. Rich and deep. Ready now.
