The first of 5 wines we took along to Jack’s local Mauritian fish restaurant for Christmas dinner, that they didn’t even charge corkage on! And the food was good. And all the wines more-or-less performed. This was the white of the night (but pipped to the post by the Pommard overall). Not having my notebook with me, I had to concentrate to remember all the characteristics: medium yellow-gold. Moderately intense, but subtle nose of cream and almonds. Smooth and long palate with light lemon (medium-high acidity) flavour alongside more creaminess
