First Burgundy of the Christmas season (after Graüburgunder and Château Montrose on Christmas Day itself). Andy & Sarah’s for Boxing Day to 28th, with Mum & Dad. Thankfully a nice white Burgundy! Pale yellow-gold, with a medium watery rim. Moderately intense nose of lemon or maybe conserved lemons. Crisp acidity backs-up a medium body, to give balanced mouthfeel. Creamy appley flavours with smooth, medium-long finish. Pretty good overall – I think it’s the integration and ease of drinking that marks this out, rather than extremely complex flavours. Little oak, if any.
