First bottle of this was very corked, but exchanged quibble-free at Majestic Vinopolis. Overall a pretty good wine, but a bit overweight so more for tasters & for food. Opaque black core with a narrow, purple rim. Intense meaty hit on the nose of chargrilled steak, with some dense, dark fruit underneath, and laced with notes of coffee / smoke, crème de cassis and gingerbread. Velvet texture initially but tannins emerge a little roughly over length. Weighty mouthfeel, with dark, concentrated fruit.
