Was a bit worried that the sediment might not have settled fully after 24 hours post travelling from London to Doncaster (having screwed-up my bottle of 1997 Valbuena by not letting the finest sediment settle out). Fortunately it was OK! Overall tannins etc well matured and very pleasant to drink, although missing a little concentration on the palate, so don’t want to hold longer. Mid garnet core with wide brick-rose rim. Moderate nose of gently meaty notes over blueberry core, with some leathery hints. Well integrated palate with acidity showing through light blue & blackberry flavours. Quite long.
