Bought for a palate calibration on the morning of the Paper 1 MW exam, and a really good, balanced, elegant varietal Semillon – unusually unblended for a Margaret River. Classic lemon pie fruit character, toasted bread maturity notes and a citric lime palate, but with the linearity typical of the variety. Very nice. Also a great technical note online! It helped me identify the Semillon on the paper, but I thought it was a Hunter; I completely missed the 13.5% ABV, because…it was this exact wine!
