My Yquem virginity lost at the Bordeaux MW Gala dinner. Though from an inauspicious vintage this showed length, elegance and relatively early maturity. Pale amber. Moderate aromatic intensity but quite complex apricot, ginger, vanilla cream and notable beeswax. Sweet but not intensely so. Bright acidity. Long, beeswax finish. Nice.
