Turned out that this exact wine was on 2014 final exams… Deep, but not black garnet, with a medium rim. Pronounced, jammy cherry fruit and smoky espresso. Cinnamon toast. Some ‘freshly dried’ fig-like notes. Liquorice touches. Fresh leather and more espresso. Complex. Round and full. Sweet black cherry fruit, with a bitter twist. Toasty, spicy oak. Tannic grip comes through the finish.
