Picked up for interest from Bedales. Mid-depth lemon-green, with a light spritz. Initially sweaty, then almost Sauvignon-Blanc-like ‘crisp’ aromatics. Once it opened out, it became earthy spice over almost lychee fruit – some Gewürz in its parentage (actually, turns out Riesling…)? Some tinned pea and cooked gooseberry. Slight spritz but at least medium body with medium+ acidity. Quite rich apple flavours with some sweet spice. Warming alcohol through the medium finish. OK, not great.
