First bottle deeper-golden and nuttier than it should have been – premox! Boo… But the following bottle showed just how well this wine is maturing! Mid-gold. Intense, complex, changing nose. Creamy, with slight brioche notes, mealy porridge touches and yellow peach hints. Overripe pear. Some faint caramel and vanilla complexity. But above all, an attractive herb note – almost minty hit when cool. Medium+ bodied, medium+ acidity, clean but rich. Somewhat buttery, ripe yellow peach flavours with some nuttiness. Chalky minerality and some lemon & orange rind. Ripe and creamy mid-palate, to a long, dry, minerally finish.
