Overall, fairly good but a little disappointing – either faintly corked or overrated. Deep ruby, with a medium garnet rim. Medium+ intensity, slightly grubby coal-smoke & oak-wood dominated nose, over plummy fruit. Slightly cocoa & coffee notes. On the palate, soft, ripe plum, chocolate, spicy black fruit. Medium, ripe, slightly chalky tannins. Medium acidity at most. A little short though.
