This was the curveball I added into my first Unum wine tasting, to illustrate sweetness, against Grosset’s 2010 Polish Hill Riesling. And for me and several others, this stole the show. With sweet prawns to show how sweetness can be superb in a wine, this was fresh, vibrant and also quite deep. Medium+ intensity white flower, honey, lime and grapefruit zest, lemon sorbet, and lees hints. Mid lemon colour. Between off-dry and medium-dry, but with excellent balancing acidity – medium+ at least. Light-to-medium body. Lemon sorbet, honeydew melon and some slight chalkiness through the medium+ length finish. Youthful, vibrant and lovely.
