This was an excellent recommendation from JR.com for an en primeur white Burgundy in a great vintage. A very nice, classic Southern Burgundian Chardonnay that is on song now, but which has a few more years to get nuttier and more complex. If the rest of the case survives! Mid-gold. Pronounced aromatics of ripe pear & subtle tropical notes, with gentle toast, butter, vanilla & hazelnut hints. Concentrated pear & white peach, with creamy hints on the palate. Long, with balanced acidity and touches of chalky minerality. Harmonious, subtle and delicious.
