Having been disappointed by so many Meursaults to date, this one from a magnum was a real pleasure, and served my cousins’ 27th December bash very well. Mid yellow-gold. Intense apricot, butter and a touch of sweetcorn from notable, but not overdone, malolactic. Quite fat & full-bodied, but balanced with acidity and a chalky mineral note on the finish. Buttery, ripe-pear and lemon palate. Lovely. Light wine of the night.
