So we finally arrived at the purpose of the dinner party – Mary had this bottle of botrytised Riesling, and needed an excuse to drink it! Served with an orange-blossom and Cointreau scented crème brûlée. It matched-up fairly well. Orange-copper colour. A nose of marmalade, with slatey, minerally lime notes. Sweet, but with well-balanced acidity. More preserved orange and lime on the palate, and medium length. Pretty good.
