Kinda weird. Overall slightly disappointing, given the quality of the Domaine’s Bonnezeaux. Mid-gold with some green glints. On the nose is where I got odd… slightly rubbery initial nose, that developed into limey, lemon rind and grapefruit peel fruit, with some almost pastry hints and some clove… but if I’d tasted this blind, I’d have guessed a Riesling. Palate was sweet, but not as intense as other dessert wines I’ve drunk. Notable acidity, and almost slate-like minerality, with some bitterness. Indifferent, this leaves me, … hmmm…

2nd bottle much better: creamy, beeswax character; toast and honey.
