Mid-weight garnet with mid-breadth brick rim. Developed and intense bouquet of chocolate, coffee and leather, but with a nuance of black cherry, supporting a complex, integrated nose. Spicy, medium-bodied, warm wine with grip of tannin and medium acidity. Long, spicy finish with hint of “melba toast” oak. Very nice. A good product from the Orange Maison du Vin random selection I bought in summer 2004.
