The first time I have definitively smelled butterscotch on a wine. Other aromas of vanilla, butter and passion fruit as well. Flavours of apricot and butterscotch again with a rich, smooth feel, followed by refreshing acidity, to the point that I hadn’t realised it was 14% ABV. Very pleasant drinking as an aperitif, but doesn’t really match up to chargrilled lamb!! Straw-gold colour.
