An excellent recommendation from our hosts in Languedoc, Roger & Gill Murton. A very interesting tour of the chai followed after drinking this. Garnet core showing “correct” maturity. Rich aromas of cherry and blackberry or blackberry jam, with toast, cinnamon and similar sweet secondary aromas. Good – and long – balanced flavour with some acidity to keep a degree of easy drinking. Flavours of mixed red and dark fruits with oak-derived development. Perhaps some dried fruit character? Will have to re-taste, from some of the bottles I brought back (plus others…!).
