Another exploration white from the winery supposed to be Australia’s best at Marsanne, and a pretty decent example. Refreshing and easy drinking. Pale straw colour. I reckoned aromas of white peach (i.e. not-very-strong peach), light citrussy notes and a honeyed finish. The back-label I read afterwards said peach, lemon and honey, so I felt quite smug! Fresh and crisp lemony flavours, but (as Dad mentioned) lacking a little body / depth. I guess that’s what Roussanne adds to the white Hermitage blend…
