Drank, the ’96 in ’99 and was very smooth and very drinkable. Supposed to be good for 10 years though…

Spicy on the nose and tongue, in spite of the smooth red fruit flavour. Went with spicy couscous well. 100% Grenache so not as smoky or tarry as Châteauneuf can be – another top Chapoutier effort, and garnet-red.
