Writing a bit from memory (because getting the label off was evidently a challenge!): a classic Californian Napa Cab – the 4 Americans I was drinking it with all said “a taste of home” without prompting. Vanilla-oak aromas over rich blackcurrant, intense nose. Deep colour, and thickness to the velvety texture. Quite full, with a little tannin, but not particularly acidic. I remember thinking “nice, but a bit forward for my taste”. Much MUCH better than the following “dusty-tasting” Faustino VII!!
