Another random discovery at my parents house (where they’d picked this up cheap at Waitrose…). Brilliant golden colour suggested a degree of maturity, and this was borne out. Complex aromas of (initially lime) apricot and ?quince jelly?, with a definite honey finish – but no leathery, brandied or caramel often common on botrytised wines. Thick but not oversweet flavour of fresh fruity passion and apricot. Also precipitated-out a crapload of tartrate. Not bad with apple pie too. Nice.
