Another class Ridge Zin. Mid ruby-purple, with a medium rim. Sweet, fruits-of-the-forest bery fruit. Black pepper spice. Oak / wood spice, cinnamon, vanilla, and a toasted coconut and minty lifted note – from American oak? Dried tobacco touch. On the palate, fresh, but sweet blackberry and damson fruit – only slightly jammy. Mid-palate red fruit. Quite fruit-forward, but with some gravelly mineral touches. Some grainy, grippy tannins at the core (Petite Sirah?). Fairly long.
