In the Riesling line-up, there were several highlights, but in the end I kept just 2 labels. If I’d kept and finished Jim Barry’s Florita Clare Valley Riesling that would have been in here as well. A classic Wachau Riesling, at a full 14% ABV and almost bone dry. Mid gold. Broad, ripe lemon and lime, with creamy lees. Almost candied peel fruit ripeness. Some earthy, chamomile notes. Full bodied. Ripe apple. Crisp line of acidity through the spicy mid-palate. Some yellow fruit. Extract at the long finish.
