Overall good, but missing something – some dimension of complexity, perhaps? Deep, nearly black core, with a medium, ruby rim. Intense ‘waxy’ vanilla nose develops into garam masala and chilli, black pepper, some leather and dried liquorice, over black cherry fruit. Sweet entry then a blend of medium acidity, full body, and medium tannins through the mid-palate. Spicy, juicy black cherry and liquorice, with a medium length finish.
