The best I could come up with as a red to match the tuna in the starter, and the expected richness of the onion soup, from a red point of view. And a good, earlier-maturing 2009 Cru Beaujolais, which will definitely tide me over until the Morgon and Moulin-à-Vents come around. Medium-depth ruby, with still some purplish glints. Perfumed fruit: violets, wild strawberries, blue-, black- and even mulberries. Fresh. Wild strawberry juice (in a good way) with some minerally undertones. Medium, supple tannin, medium+ refreshing acidity, and at least medium length. Pretty good.
