I picked this up at Carrick, and decided to crack it at the end of 2009. But, in fact, this could have survived a few more years. Quite deep ruby, with forest fruit notes and gentle oak toast. Concentrated flavours, with some underlying mineral notes, coupled with both length and acidity for structure suggested a couple more years to reach peak maturity. Quite supple, silky tannin already though – fine to have enjoyed at 3 years!
