So this was Slurp’s own goal. Quite an interesting nose, but the disjointed palate just didn’t do it. Might integrate over 2-3 more years, but is there enough fruit on the palate? Clear, light-medium garnet core with a medium brick rim. Moderate intensity complex nose – really integrated. Pencil shavings and some ?sandal?wood, with a definitively ‘perfumed’ nose. If I knew what they smelled of, I’d say violets. Grippy tannins throughout. Slightly watery palate, with a tarry flavour and bitter finish. Weird.
