…by contrast, this was outstanding. I was worried by the price tag. Shouldn’t have been! Oddbins’ recommendation was good. The outstanding aspect was the body – tangibly thick – but velvety. Matched by a deep, brown-tinged garnet colour. Aromas of warm burnt sugar over red fruit (strawberries mentioned on the label and I’d agree). Not powerfully tannic, but definitely weighty enough to keep. Glad I have a 3rd bottle left.
