I was slightly nervous serving this, having had some poor examples of “great” white Burgundy, but I needn’t have worried. Rich golden colour. Toasty, biscuity aromas. A full, thick, but fruity flavour – slightly buttery, slightly tropical flavours from this full-bodied Chardonnay. Went pretty well with the Hollandaise sauce and grilled mild goat’s cheese entrée. Followed the Moutardier Champagne well!
