Not necessarily an auspicious vintage or producer, but a very interesting Burgundy nevertheless. Fragrant aromatics are the key to this, though sadly just missing some persistence & length to match on the palate. Pale garnet with a rosy-garnet broad rim. Intense, perfumed strawberry fruit with layers of earthy spice (Gevrey!) and even some fresh tobacco. Medium+ acidity holds bright red fruit and lots of aroma on the roof of the mouth. Perfumed again. But this flavour fades on swallowing, to a medium length. Fully mature tannins give just a bit of bite on the finish.
