Picked up from Waitrose because SJ likes Meursault. 2007 whites are pretty good I think, and this one showed well – though lacked a touch of body, concentration & complexity to be a really good example. Medium yellow-gold colour. Toasty, slightly popcorn note that became creamy, leesy with butter hints. Pear and white peach fruit notes with a hint of gooseberry emerging. Good fruit to secondary aromatic balance. Creamy flavour with subtle toasty oak over pear, lemon and apple fruit. Some mineral savouriness. Good length and a really pleasant wine.
