The first of a sale mixed case of wines ‘to drink’ from Lay & Wheeler because I didn’t have enough whites for SJ – ‘drunk girls’ wines! Had two of these, and the 2nd definitely showed better – fuller body & richer. Medium depth ruby colour. Smoky hints over damson notes. Sour red cherry palate, but spicier & deeper, darker fruit on the second bottle. Medium to long. Good now.
