This was probably the least impressive wine of the night, even though it was still pretty good. Kari & I spotted it when we were in Planet of the Grapes, on the way to Jack’s. I knew it by reputation, so we gave it a lash. Not as concentrated, sweet, or complex as some Sauternes, sweet Loire wines or botrytised Rieslings, so it probably didn’t quite meet my expectations. Still good though – with an apricotty flavour profile, and balancing acidity. Not bad, but there’s better for the price elsewhere.
