Another from the Diageo staff shop – easy opportunity to explore some new sources of NZ Sauvignon Blanc! Overall, a decent-value quaffer – good alternative to Oyster Bay – but not going to set the World on fire. Very pale lemon colour with a wide, watery rim. Initially, an intense gooseberry aroma with some grassy notes, that developed into some creaminess. Quite simple. On the palate, quite zippy lemony flavour, but with surprising degree of sweetness – not as crisp as some other Kiwi Sauvignon Blancs. Refreshing enough, and easy drinking.
