High clarity, mid-garnet colour, with the first hints of brick at the edge. Toasty, balanced oak over intense, “focused” dark fruit (prune?) aromas – with the occasional perfumed note. Elegant, silky palate with a touch of acidity and tannin which balanced well with fruit flavours. Could do with a bit more body to it to be an excellent wine, but very good nevertheless! Another Banyoles 2002 random, and better than the 1998, drank in Banyoles 2003!
