410. Olvena, Somontano Crianza, 2003

I bought this magnum of Somontano Cabernet Sauvignon because the design of the packaging was excellent. Fortunately, the wine was pleasing too, and also kept my cousins well supplied. Medium-dpeth garnet core, with a red-cherry rim. Quite intense, forward nose of red fruit, and blackcurrant. Quite soft and juicy, with ripe tannin and balanced acidity. Medium bodied, with a pleasant red-fruit flavour. Forward, easy & pleasant. A well-made, enjoyable wine, that’s ready to drink.
