Was always likely to be a long shot that this would be on great form, and indeed, for dinner at POTG, it was past its best. Fully-mature aromatics of cedar and old leather, but just missing some mid-palate flavour density – hollowing a little. Given the robust tannins common to many 75s, apparent here too, this made it a little hard going. So we switched to a 2011 Achaval-Ferrer Quimera instead!
