An awesomely, stunningly, completely disappointing wine. Poured 75% down the sink ‘cos life’s too short! Particularly as I enjoyed their white, and I’ve tasted their excellent reserve cuvee at the Majestic tasting a couple of years back, so for Majestic to fail with this one…!! Pale ruby / cherry colour that looked dilute – like a light Pinot Noir. Dilute, simple nose with subdued fruit (slight TCA maybe?). Short, uninteresting palate. A memorably unmemorable Châteauneuf.
