As Michael Moosbrugger himself describes, this is a classic single vineyard, top-class Grüner, with the spiced tropical fruit profile thereof. Mid-deep gold. A little closed aromatically, but ripe mango and creamy yellow fruit comes through, with some leesiness. Earthy, spicy mineral notes, with a white-pepper spiced lentil, vegetal savouriness. Medium-full bodied, almost oily roundedness. Sweet-savoury flavour: pineapple-like tropical fruit with more ‘dhal’ lentil notes on the mid-palate. Slight tingliness to the fairly bright, balancing acidity. Persistent peach / pepper finish.
