A revelation in Beaujolais! And a step up from the non-specified vineyard Moulin-à-Vent Jadot bottling. Medium ruby, if not darker. Black pepper, oak spice and graphite on the nose. On the palate, at least medium-bodied, with a powerful cherry fruit flavour, laced with more pepper-spice and oak touches. Medium acidity, but notably, at least medium, peppery tannins at the finish. Medium+ length. This one’s a keeper. Less gamey than the regular Moulin-à-Vent, so I’d say this is good for the next 3-5 years. Good.
