Randomly picked this up at the Clyde Easter Harvest Festival, that I randomly visited whilst in Central Otago. Met the owner of the 4Ha estate, and this is their first vintage. An excellent effort, given the youthfulness of the vines. Dark ruby purple colour. Fruit-forward, slightly smoky blackberry and black cherry nose, with a touch of oak-smoke. Soft, fleshy black fruit core, with a touch of vanilla at the gently grippy finish. Fruit-forward, but keeps both balance and savouriness. Pretty good.
