A fitting way to end Book 4, with the final wine – and one of the wines of the night – from the Saturday night gala dinner in rust. This one, accidentally brought by Justin, was on very fine form for 18+ years of age – showing relatively early maturity of hints of petrol and hints of toast around a core of lemon sherbet fruit. The complexity without overmaturity was matched by superb balance and restraint on the palate – whilst sweet, the racy, minerally acidity kept the surprisingly moderate sugar levels in check. Long. Appetising. Lovely.
